Welcome to Saint Matthew Lutheran Church Online Minimize

In the narrative according to the apostle Matthew, Jesus Christ said to his disciples, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3, ESV). Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Spring Lake, MI, continues to be a gathering of individuals "poor in spirit." As Jesus Christ comes to these men, women, and children through His Word and sacraments, He gives them the "kingdom of heaven." We invite you to visit Saint Matthew and experience this gathering of God's people.

Children's Choir Coming to St. Matthew
End the Church Year on a high note by coming to St. Matthew on Sunday, November 23 at 4:00pm. At that time, the children from Our Savior Lutheran Church and School of Grand Rapids will sing and play instruments in a Choral Vespers service. Support these children and receive a blessing from the Lord as we reach the end of the Church Year. Refreshments will be served following this time with the children from Our Savior of Grand Rapids.
Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart
At 7:00pm on Wednesday the 26th, join the people of St. Matthew as we receive the gifts of God and give thanks to Him in a special Thanksgiving Eve worship service. "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!" (Psalm 118:1, ESV).
